Went to Woquoit bay early this morning. There was one other rider out there, Kyle, who had a couple Waroos. I practiced my backflips, carving, and boost timing. Wind dropped down a little, then picked up really nicely. Footstrap popped off my board, so I headed back in. Other kiters were setting up, one of them turned out to be really nasty. Went back out, had an OK time, then the other footstrap popped off, so I came in and put the kite down for good. I emailed Slingshot about it, and they are sending me new hardware. Met a dude from MBL named Gustavo, who used to race wind surfers in Argentina, now does research on Parkinson’s disease. He was really interested in kiting, hopefully he’ll take a lesson and get into it.
