Went to Chappy after work today. Wind was not as thermonuclear as they were predicting, which was a bummer. I was really looking forward to be insanely powered up. Instead, I was powered up, but didn’t have as much as I could have handled or wanted. Now that I’m trying bigger tricks, and grabs and whatnot, it’s annoying to only be able to do one or two tricks per tack. I would have liked to be ridiculously overpowered (or had a bigger board) for getting upwind after a couple good boosts.

Nevin and Peter were out, although Peter looked like he was having trouble with his Waroo Pro. It inverted (or something weird) at one point and he had to swim back to shore. And to add to his frustrating day, after untangling his lines, I messed up his bridles when launching him. Woops! But once he got out there he and Nevin were as fun to watch as usual. Actually, while Peter was still in the water, I got a little too excited about a big boost off a wave and almost landed on him. Well, I wasn’t dangerously close, but too close for comfort. I really should have been riding more carefully.

Rob and Hanu were out with 12m Waroos. I probably would have been better suited with a 12 than my 9 today.
